Game Of Thrones: A Dragon Makes Up The Iron Throne In New Poster

Mark your calendars, because the beginning of the end of the fight for the Iron Throne and all of Westeros is nearing its epic conclusion. And what better way to celebrate the end of this struggle than to show off a new poster teasing the final season of the grounded high fantasy series? That’s exactly what the folks over at HBO have done. Their official Game of Thrones Twitter account took to the social media platform to share with us a new poster.

At the top of the poster, we see the familiar blades of the Iron Throne poking upward at the top. The abbreviated logo occupies the top middle, but it’s the lower half of the poster that’s the most interesting, as it looks a bit off. Then, at the bottom corners, we see a pair of flaming eyes that indicate the Iron Throne itself makes up the scales of a dragon.

HBO has been pretty tightlipped about how things will shake out in this final season. All we really know is that it will be a bittersweet affair. We also know that it will likely not resemble what George R.R. Martin writes for his own conclusion in novel form…whenever that ending comes about. But for now, audiences can rest easy knowing they have a conclusion on the way.
