Game of Thrones has been a big part of many people’s lives over the past several years, and that includes the actors, who set aside large chunks of their lives to help realize the countless characters that populate Westeros. One such actor is Jerome Flynn, who portrays the crass and likable Bronn. The character himself was a surprise for author George R.R. Martin when writing the story, and the life he’s taken on on the small screen is definitely worth noting.

But, with the end of the show a mere few weeks away, you know these actors are going to have to find new work to help continue to propel their careers to the next level. In a recent interview with The Mirror, Flynn expresses his gratitude for Game of Thrones, and acknowledges some of the doors it’s opened up for him — even allowing him to take on a certain type of character he’s always wanted.

“Game of Thrones has opened doors to some great stuff. I’m getting offered stuff I never would have. I’ve always said I’d like to play a cowboy – and now one has come along. I’m excited for that.”

The outlet went on to say that Flynn will be playing a cowboy in the upcoming Amazon adaptation of The Dark Tower. It’s not specified which character Flynn will be playing, but we do know he will be joining relative unknowns Sam Strike and Jasper Paakkonen in this new show, which will be a departure from the film that hit a couple of years back.
