Now that the battle for Westeros’ Iron Throne is all said and done, and Game of Thrones is over, more of the cast has begun to convey their feelings on the end of the show. One of the more recent actors is Joe Dempsie, who played Gendry Baratheon, one of King Robert’s bastards.
The actor recently appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live and talked about the end to the popular HBO series, you can check out what he had to say below, and I will also include the Twitter post with the video.

“When I read the finale, I remember saying at the time, ‘I don’t know how well this is going to go down. It might be the kind of ending that might need to percolate and that maybe, with the passing of time, people might appreciate it a little more.”
One of the things that struck me when I returned in season seven, was how life had profoundly changed for quite a few people in that cast, in terms of fame and recognition. And it made me really thankful that I wasn’t one of the core group of actors, that really has to carry the weight of this show on their shoulders, and whose faces sell it because it is a hell of a lot of pressure.”
As I’ve said before, the way the show ended, as far as what happened to the characters, I am more or less ok with, this is what GRRM had in mind, they were his endings. My issue has been and likely always will be the way that D&D (Benioff and Weiss) told the story to viewers, I just wish they would have took their time.
