Game Of Thrones – Jerome Flynn Isn’t Sure Fans Will Still Love Bronn After Season 8

Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, the Bastard Jon Snow, the white sheep of the Lannister family, Tyrion. These three characters take the #1 spot of many Game of Thrones fans, and rightly so. They’ve all my favorite at one time or another, and switch in and out often. However, Jerome Flynn’s Ser Bronn of the Blackwater is a lesser known favorite to many fans, including yours truly.

Winning over many of us in the first season, when he stepped up to be Tyrion Lannister’s champion in a trial by combat, with no obligation to do so, Bronn, perhaps one of the best fighters in Westeros, emerged victorious, saving Tyrion’s life, as well as setting in motion one of the show’s most cherished friendships.

Flynn recently spoke with ThisIsInsider about made a comment that has some fans wondering what Bronn may be pushed to do, and if fans will still feel the same about him after the show ends. You can check out what he had to say below.

“I don’t know, they might not love him as much as they do right now. But I hope they still do…He is who he is and what he says, isn’t he? And he’ll do what he needs to get his castle.”

The only thing close to a happy ending I want to see is Bronn getting his castle. I’d totally be alright with him being killed in it not long after he acquires it, but, the man deserves a castle.

What Flynn had to say implies him having to make a difficult decision, and this being Game of Thrones, he is probably going to have to kill someone, someone us fans would rather not see him kill. It’s gotta be Tyrion or Jaime, right? If that’s the case, and this isn’t easy to say, I hope it’s the Kingslayer.

Nothing against Ser Jaime, I love his character and believe he has fully redeemed himself from pushing Bran out of the window in the show’s first episode. Yeah, it was a terrible thing to do, but as far as heinous acts committed in Westeros, it’s not, that bad, I guess?

Less than a week now, folks. I would advise all of you to watch the episodes the night they air. The web is dark and full of spoilers, and we may never get another series done this well, with a story and production of this quality. I would also say to prepare for the showrunners to do something early in the first episode that will shock us all,  just in case anyone forgot what show they’re watching, you know, cement the GoT legacy.
