George Lucas Visits The Set Of The Mandalorian

It seems as if old Georgie boy is still making the rounds as Jon Favreau posted a photo of himself and Star Wars creator George Lucas on his Instagram account. Lucas visited the set of the upcoming Star Wars spinoff show, The Mandalorian. In the photo you can see Lucas and Favreau along with a bottle of wine that Lucas gave to Favreay for his birthday. The wine is called Skywalker Ranch Pinot Noir.

Also worth mentioning is the location where the photo was taken which appears to be a drinking establishment, better known in the Star Wars world as a cantina. Which, when you think about it is an appropriate place considering the gift given to Favreau by Lucas. You can check out the photo below.

I don’t think George Lucas’s Star Wars days are over, I think at some point he will jump back in, at the very least to direct or write an episode of a series, perhaps even The Mandalorian. I also hope he someday gives his raw unedited opinion on what Disney has done with Star Wars. Whether he is a fan of what they’ve done or not, I would like to know.
