Georgina Campbell Filming A Entire Film In One Room In Wildcat [Exclusive Interview]

Today is the release of Saban Film’s Wildcat. This is a survival thriller in which the protagonist, Khadija and a soldier named Luke are being held captive for information. The roles are played by Georgina Campbell and Luke Benward. What makes this film very interesting is the fact that it all takes place in one room.

Throughout Wildcat we see poor Luke being dragged in and out to be tortured and questioned. Khadija is kept put in the room but is also a victim of torture and questioning. Her character is inspired by real-life heroines Amanda Linhout and Lynsey Addario. Since we are in one single location, audiences will be able to see her go from slowly start to go get her footing and gain confidence in a possible escape. We also get to see her have brilliant conversations with her captive, Abu Khalid, played by Mido Hamada.

Here is the synopsis for Wildcat:

An ambitious reporter (Georgina Campbell) stationed in the Middle East is taken captive after a militant group ambushes her convoy. Convinced that the young woman is hiding her true identity, they’ll stop at nothing to extract information crucial to the success of their upcoming terrorist attack. With time running out, she must find a way to survive.

With Wildcat’s release today in theaters, LRM Online talked with Georgina Campbell. She is the star of the film that plays Khadija about the challenges in making a film that takes place in one room. Also, we discuss the fact that she is not from America, and how being away from home helped her focus on her role. It is a fantastic conversation that can be seen down below!

Saban Film’s Wildcat is now in theaters. Then out on Digital and On-Demand on April 27th, 2021.
