Get Into The Romantic Spirit With Some Romance Anime On Funimation

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and that means enjoying some romance to warm the heart during the cold Winter. And I think the best way to enjoy this holiday isn’t in a crowded restaurant, it’s curled up on the couch watching some anime. There are so many mediocre rom-coms out there that anime is where I live now and I’m starting to really enjoy this genre. Funimation has some great romance anime you should check out.

Funimation’s Recommendations

Horimiya

When the popular Hori and the gloomy Miyamura meet, they reveal another side of themselves. Could this be the start of something new?

Fruits Basket

Tohru goes from living in a tent to rooming with the mysterious boys of the Soma clan. But she’ll learn they have a shocking family secret!

I haven’t tried these two series yet, but they’re on my watch list. Fruits Basket has three seasons out so I’ve got a lot of watching to do.

A Few I Wanted To Recommend

Being seen as a full-fledged business woman isn’t easy for Futaba Igarashi when her loud mouth senpai, Harumi, treats her like a kid.

Chobits

Persecoms are humanoid computers that can do almost anything. Hideki’s life is about to change when he finds a special one in the trash.

Your Name

I did a review on My Senpai is Annoying and I really liked it. The show didn’t give me a predictable ending and I thought the series being different in that way was refreshing. Chobits is definitely a don’t judge a book by it’s cover series. It starts off light, funny, and sweet and the story gets intense as the season progresses. Lastly, Your Name is one of the best anime movies I’ve ever watched. It’s such an interesting story and a tear-jerker. So if you haven’t seen it or haven’t seen it in a while, check it out. Also, take a look at some other romance anime on Funimation.
