For some time fans have wanted to see Giancarlo Esposito in the MCU. Now Esposito teases his next role could be in the MCU, so have fans got their wish? Esposito has long sung the praises of Marvel Studios and actually turned down a TV role so he wouldn’t be excluded from the movies. Maybe his strategy has panned out if we are to take what Esposito says at face value?
Esposito will star in the new video game Far Cry 6. He recently discussed the new game with ET, and along with the game the Esposito also spoke about Star Wars and Marvel. You can catch the video below, but here is the interesting part relating to the MCU.
“There’s been all these rumors about being with Marvel. I want to work with those guys, I’ve put it out into the world,” Esposito told Entertainment Tonight. “I haven’t created any of those rumors, but I worked years ago with Marvel Studios co-president and executive producer Louis D’Esposito … back when he was doing [The] Cotton Club, he was second assistant director.”
This is not the first time Esposito has said he wants to work with Marvel. However, after discussing some work he would like to do in the future Esposito then had this to say.
“I think the Marvel world would be, likely, the next step for me. And then I would step back into playing some characters I think that really did change the world through their actions, and it really didn’t matter what color they were.”

To me, it appears as if Esposito already knows about a project he is being lined up for in the MCU. I don’t think he would say the MCU was likely his next step, if he wasn’t currently in talks to play a role. Of course, Esposito probably cannot say any more than giving us a tease. It is likely the next time we will hear about this will be some official announcement from Marvel. That of course is unless the scoopers start to hear some rumors.
If we do catch any rumors of what movie Esposito could show up in, or what character he could be playing, we will pass it on. Of course, there aretwo role everyone knows Esposito is playing currently. Gus Fring in the final season of Better Call Saul, and Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian Season 2. For now it seems highly likely that Esposito will be coming to the MCU at some point. Time to get speculating as Esposito teases his next role could be in the MCU.
