One of the best romantic anime films is heading back to the big screen with Your Name.

From acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai, Your Name celebrates its 10th anniversary and is being re-released with a 4 K remaster to reintroduce itself to a new audience.

The film will be released in its original Japanese and in an English dub.

During the GKIDS panel at Anime Expo 2026, the distribution company unveiled its new key art.

Here is the official synopsis:

One morning, rural schoolgirl Mitsuha and city kid Taki awaken to discover that they’ve switched bodies. The total strangers struggle to navigate each other’s lives, walking tightropes of intimacy and distance. But when they finally resolved to meet, the true nature of their connection threatens to seal their fate.

Instantly iconic. Your Name. was a worldwide smash hit and heralded writer/director Makoto Shinkai as a new great master of animation. Its sumptuous attention to detail in yearning vistas and pulsing city streets, driven by an unforgettable score from RADWIMPS, elevates its central romance to world-rending levels of destiny and longing.

Also, the GKIDS panelists announced that the 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and Blu-ray are now available for pre-order through its GKIDS store. The physical media will be available on August 25^th with distribution by Shout! Studios. It will be the first ever 4K Ultra HD produce of this film in North America.

As for the film, it hits theaters nationwide in North America beginning August 14^th. Ticket pre-sales will be available later this month.
