For Fist of the North Star fans, the wait is only till next year for the second cour.

At the Warner Brothers Japan panel at Anime Expo 2026, Warner Bros. Japan LLC, Anime Production, announced Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken second cour is scheduled for broadcast in 2027.

The first cour is already streaming on Prime Video today.

Based on the legendary action manga Fist of the North Star, created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, the series began serialization in 1983 and has sold over 100 million copies since. Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken faithfully adaps the original work with new staff, cast, and technology.

The Japanese voice cast includes Shunsuke Takeuchi, Daiki Yamashita, M-A-O, Koji Yusa, Saori Hayami, Yuichi Nakamura, Ruriko Aoki, and Wataru Takagi. No English voice cast had been announced at this time.

Here is the brief synopsis of Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken:

In the year 199X, the world was engulfed in nuclear fire!!

Yet…humanity somehow survived!!

A loan man with seven scars on his chest emerges.

His name is Kenshiro, heir to Hokuto Shinken.

In a world where only the strong survive, Kenshiro forges a path with his iron fists!

At the panel, the first look trailer announcement and the new commemorative visual were released.
