Glass: Samuel L. Jackson Praises James McAvoy’s Performance In New Shyamalan Film

Samuel L. Jackson is about to hit theaters in Incredibles 2, a long-awaited sequel to a beloved original film. However, that’s not the only hotly-anticipated sequel he’ll be starring in in the near future. One other gem that’s resonated with film fans over the past 15-plus years is M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable, which followed the birth of a superhero in an era before superhero films were all the rage.

Last year, Shyamalan released the unexpected hit, Split, which saw James McAvoy play a character who is afflicted with multiple personalities. At the end of the film, it was revealed that the story took place in the same world as Unbreakable, and just like that, Shyamalan set the stage for the return of Sam Jackson’s iconic Mr. Glass character.

Speaking with Collider, Jackson shared a bit about the film saying:

“It was very exciting to make. Really wonderful sitting in a room watching James do what James does. As good as I like to think I am at what I do and how I do it, watching somebody transform characters in front of your eyes and having an argument with four different people is pretty amazing.”

Sadly, that’s all Jackson really had to say about the film. Even before he’d started talking, you could tell he was trying to figure out the best way to avoid any real content from the flick, and I say he succeeded. We still know next to nothing about the film itself other than it will see the Beast, Mr. Glass, and Bruce Willis’ David Dunn collide in some way.
