To say there is a bit of hype for GTA 6 is an understatement as the GTA 6 trailer announcement becomes the most liked gaming tweet ever in less than a day. The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series is one of the longest enduring and most popular franchises in gaming. There has been rumors for a long time, given how long GTA 5 has been with us. However, we knew the game was in development for…someday.
We have no further (official) details at this time. Though, the announcement does say we are getting a trailer for GTA 6 in early December. Perhaps some more questions will be answered then?

One thing we should get confirmed is the City we will have as our sandbox in the game. Rumors have said we will be going back to Vice City for the first time in a while. Which, to be fair makes sense given the last two GTA titles have took place in Liberty City and Los Santos.
GTA 5 released way back in 2013. However the GTA Online portion of the game has been so successful and made the developers so much money they really didn’t need to rush out the 6th game. One presumes the next version of GTA Online will also be attached to GTA 6. I must say I spent a lot of time on GTA Online. I also loved the base game in GTA 5, so GTA 6 is a day one purchase for me.

Remarkably, with no images, no real information or even a solid date, this tweet above has broken the record for the most liked tweet regarding gaming. It did it in less than 24 hours. So imagine the records that will be broken when that trailer hits early December?
The Instagram version also pulled in more than 2 million likes, and GTA 5 already broke a ton of records for the fastest selling game. Therefore, you better believe fans are picking up GTA 6 on pre-order by the millions. It’s literally a licence to print money. However, that’s because Rockstar have built a trust with gamers that almost every GTA game is good with new ideas and one of the best open worlds ever devised. They know if they take years to get it right, once they do, the game breaks records.
Can’t wait to get a few more details come December.
