The Holocaust was devastating for many Jewish families it tore families apart and resulted in deaths for this generation. The Weber siblings, all managed to survive the fateful event and relocated to the United States after escaping Nazi Germany, as retold in the documentary UnBroken by director Beth Lane.
Here is the full synopsis:
UnBroken is a true story which chronicles the plight of the seven Weber siblings who, following their mother’s murder at Auschwitz, evaded certain capture and death as mere children in wartorn Nazi Germany. After being hidden in a laundry hut by a benevolent farmer and his wife, the children spent two harrowing years on their own. Emboldened by their father’s mandate that they ‘always stay together,’ their saga culminates in a painful ultimatum: for that which would save them, would also tear them apart.
