Guardians 3 may feature The Suicide Squad actors says James Gunn on Twitter. Gunn was asked by a fan whether there was any chance that some actors who worked on The Suicide Squad could be cast in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. So Gunn replied.
That is a distinct possibility. https://t.co/UrFRaGyd6w

Now let the speculation begin. Who would be a great addition to the MCU that was in TSS? I think we can likely rule out Idris Elba, save the resurrection somehow of Heimdall in Thor: Love and Thunder, so who else? Sean Gunn of course will be in Guardians 3 playing both Rocket and Kraglin, so again we can rule Gunn in without Gunn’s comments. Sylvester Stallone, who played King Shark has already been established as a character in Guardians 2. However, none of this really narrows down any potential guesses. Of course, we have no idea what new characters will show up in Guardians 3, and if we did, perhaps we could all have our fan casting?

My guess is that Marvel Studios would not allow Gunn to use Margot Robbie for a small part, just in case they try to poach her from WB later down the line. However, that is just a guess, and what do I know? Feel free to fan cast away to your hearts content though.
Gunn also talked to fans about the process he goes through whilst storyboarding a movie, which the director has just completed for Guardians 3.
Stack of hand drawn storyboards I just finished from the past few days for #GuardiansoftheGalaxyVol3. This represents 12 pages of script & will be the foundation for this section of the film. Designing the film like this is the most important part of my job at this point. pic.twitter.com/AdUWakUr3W

A numbered, written shot descriptor accompanies every storyboard. In these, I'll also describe notes for the stunt team, the production designers, costumers, & so on, as well as reminding me of notes to give my actors (also sometimes alternate dialogue I'll throw out on set.)

I have, yes. But what I found is, that although the drawings are better, they don't trigger the memory of my imagination as well, so they're less helpful for me setting up the shots on set of exactly what I want. So the past couple films it's only me. https://t.co/aSVthAdX9b

It’s super tedious, and filmmaking is often not exciting. But it’s worth it to me nevertheless. https://t.co/FpoXZrqOLz

A small glimpse into making a Marvel movie from Gunn there. I can totally see why Gunn likes to have these references, they remind him of where his imagination went. If you don’t write things down, it is easy to forget them exactly. I suppose the same goes with shots.
