Guess Who/What’s Shown Up On The ‘Suicide Squad’ Set?

**WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE SET OF DC’S “SUICIDE SQUAD.” IF YOU’D LIKE TO GO INTO THIS FILM KNOWING AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, I SUGGEST YOU LEAVE THIS POST. AND POSSIBLY THE COUNTRY (that second part is up to you)! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!**

So, last month it was confirmed that Batman would be making some sort of appearance in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. The film, which will center on Task Force X- a group of super-villains that are coerced into doing the government’s bidding in exchange for reduced punishments- features The Joker and Harlequin amongst others. With Joker involved, it was more or less a given that Batman would factor in somehow. When Ben Affleck showed up on set, that set the record straight on those suspicions.

However, now it looks like he won’t just be showing up for some tiny cameo or bit of fan service. Last night it came to light that the Batmobile was spotted on set. As was Jared Leto’s Joker, racing around in his sick car. So a sequence that contains some sort of action-packed confrontation between the two now seems to be in the cards for Suicide Squad– especially since one of the videos below shows the Batmobile in hot pursuit of Joker’s pink ride. Here’s the host of pictures and videos that popped up on Instagram as the vehicles were spotted on set last night:

Yeah, security on the Toronto set of Suicide Squad has been anything but tight, with tons of leaks like this flooding the net in recent weeks. Still, there’s a palpable sense of excitement for this film that seems to rival, or even eclipse, that of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It kind of reminds me of how many folks (myself, included) are more excited about Captain America: Civil War than we were about Avengers: Age of Ultron. Some of that excitement seemed to get dampened when the official looks of many of the characters were revealed in recent weeks, but this still looks like it could be a cool chapter in the ever-expanding DC Cinematic Universe.

What do you think of the Batmobile showing up and chasing after The Joker in Suicide Squad? Does it tweak any of your theories about how the story will unfold?
