Gugu Mbatha-Raw Will Return For Loki Season 2

When it comes to TV series, I’m one of those people that’s been late to the party too many times. But it has it’s perks, I get to binge multiple seasons. It’s bitter-sweet to be right on time because after the first season is done. You get the satisfaction of knowing what happens in that season, but now the long wait for season 2 starts. It’s the same situation after season 1 of Loki ended. I love the series, but I’m dying for more. It has so many amazing characters including Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer. At first, it felt like Renslayer took her work too seriously, but then the feeling like she’s up to something crept in. After the ending of Loki, I knew we’d be seeing more of her and now we’ve got confirmation. Gugu Mbatha-Raw shared that she’d be returning for Loki Season 2 with Good Morning America.

Loki Season 1 Plot

Loki revolves around the mischievous villain escaping the clutches of The Avengers and getting caught by the Time Variance Authority. This sends him on a mission to catch the different antagonist who has been troubling the timelines.

Mbatha-Raw is known for many roles including her role as Martha Jones’ sister, Tish, in the Doctor Who series. A few days ago, I finally got to show my son the series and he even watched the “Smith and Jones” episode twice. She’s also starred in Belle as Dido Elizabeth Belle, Motherless Brooklyn as Laura Rose, and Beyond the Lights as Noni. While we wait to see Mbatha-Raw in season 2, catch her on The Girl Before as Jane streaming February 10 on HBO Max. Also, you can watch season 1 of Loki on Disney+.

What are your thoughts of Gugu Mbatha-Raw returning for Loki Season 2?
