Guy Ritchie Set To Return To The British Gangster Genre

Director Guy Ritchie’s next film, will bring him back to what he does best, giving movie viewers great British based films. Ritchie became known for a certain kind of flick, British gangsters. With his most beloved films being his original creations, Snatch, and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The new film, Toff Guys, which was written by Ritchie who will also direct the film, will take the director back to the London underworld.

The film’s plot revolves around a British drug dealer who is ready to cash out, and decides to sell his business to some wealthy Oklahomans. Insiders are saying it’s a mix between Sexy Beast (another excellent British gangster film, which stars Ben Kingsley) and the popular television series, Downton Abbey.

Not long ago, Ritchie’s film Snatch became a TV series of Crackle, the show stars Rupert Grint of Harry Potter fame. Ritchie always brings great dialogue and interesting, if not unscrupulous characters in these films.

Excluding installments from the great franchises, Snatch is probably my favorite movie. I think it’s beautifully crafted, clever, and hilarious. Lock Stock is also a great film. My experience has led me to believe that deciding one’s favorite between the two, depends on which film you watched first.
