Habit Sparks Outrage Over Lesbian Jesus Played By Paris Jackson

Habit With Paris Jackson as Jesus

Some people in the conservative Christian wants to stop Habit from seeing the living daylight.

A petition at Change.org called it a “new blasphemous Hollywood film” that depicts “Jesus as a lesbian woman.” In the film, Paris Jackson (daughter of Michael Jackson) plays the role of lesbian Jesus.

Jackson, who identifies herself as a homosexual for a while, has a very open talk about her sexuality in the Facebook Watch docuseries Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn. She is currently dating Glenn and has not addressed this issue.

The film has a few known names in the cast, including Bella Thorne (Duff, Scream: The TV Series), Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect series), and singer Gavin Rossdale. It marks the directorial debut for Janell Shirtcliff from a script written by Suki Kaiser.

The pic is about a street-smart party girl with a Jesus fetish who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal. As a solution, she found a way out by masquerading as a nun. A film producer told Entertainment Weekly that rock music plays a very central role in the film.

As of this writing, the petition has garnered nearly 275,000 signatures of its 300,000 goal to stop the “Christianophobic garbage.”

There was another petition from One Million Moms earlier this year, pleading the production studio Elevated Films never to release Habit. In that petition, it stated, “This is a repulsive display of corporate arrogance and complete contempt for the faith of Christians.” The petition only received over 73,000 signatures.

At this time, the film is in post-production after the indie film completed its filming before the pandemic. It does not have known distributors at this time.

With this attention, only one star has addressed the matter.

Bella Thorne mocked the movement on her Instagram story by writing, “Because Jesus is a woman…wowowowowowo.”

Regardless, past films that mocked Christianity have never been censored. This censorship move will likely fall on deaf ears.
