Halloween Kills ‘Welcomes Back’ Director David Gordon Green As Production Begins

The 2018 Halloween remake was definitely a success bringing in over $255 million with a mere budget of $10 million.  That’s a decent haul… Now that we not only have two confirmed sequels in the form of Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, but we also have the returns of Judy Greer (Karen Strode), Andi Matichak (Allyson), Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode), Nick Castle / James Jude Courtney (Michael Meyers), Kyle Richards (Lindsey Wallace) John Carpenter scoring the film, and the addition of Anthony Michael Hall playing Tommy Doyle .  Blumhouse wanted to properly “welcome back” Halloween Kills director David Gordon Green and took to their Reddit page to show how they did so.

Hey Reddit, thought you might like to see the way we welcomed the director to set on the first day of filming “Halloween Kills.” Hope he doesn’t take it personally. from r/blumhouse

Of course, that’s not just a knife, but THE knife that will make its way back into Michael’s hands yet again. I’m still trying to figure out how he got out of the basement.  I have a couple of ideas, but only time will tell! What are your thoughts on the upcoming sequels?  How did Michael escape?  How will Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace play into the films?  Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!

Halloween Kills slashes into theaters October 16, 2020, followed by Halloween Ends on October 15, 2021.
