Halo: Infinite Devs Quash Next Gen Only Rumor – But Is That a Mistake?

Halo: Infinite Supported

The last few days saw some rumors begin that Halo: Infinite would not appear on Xbox One. Now Halo: Infinite devs quash next gen only rumor in a recent tweet. This all began when some material appeared showing Halo: Infinite and the platforms listed were only PC and Xbox Series X/S. However after fans started either praising or bemoaning this decision on social media, Halo community manager John Junyszek replied.

However, this denial that Halo: Infinite was not cancelled for Xbox One caused the fans who were happy to revolt. To be honest I can see both points of view here. Some fans who have not upgraded to next gen were happy that Halo: Infinite would be coming to Xbox One. However, with the game now being delayed until sometime in 2021, one wonders how much an Xbox One version will hold the game back? Cyberpunk 2077 is a great example of when a game really needed to break with the previous generation. Cyberpunk barely works at all on Ps4 and Xbox One. So much so that many gamers have sought refunds, and quite rightly as well.

Halo: Infinite devs quash next gen only rumor

As an owner of Xbox Series X, I guess I am a little biased. It’s no surprise that as far as I am concerned the Xbox One version should be abandoned. Halo: Infinite I want to be a game that really pushes the power inside that Sex console. Considering how cheap you can pick up and Xbox Series S, the way I see it is simple. If you want to play Halo: Infinite buy an SeS or SeX. It was the same with every other jump in console generations, why should this be different? I get that Xbox already announced everything was coming for the Xbox One, but the truth is simply that doing this will hold back the games themselves.

Are you happy Halo: Infinite devs quash next gen only rumor? Or like me, were you kinda hoping it was true? Leave thoughts below as always.
