Paramount+, take my money! If you haven’t subscribed to Paramount+ before or only subscribed to it for all the Star Trek shows, now Halo The Series should gather a new breed of viewers from the Xbox community.
The video game adaptation was in the works for more than a decade with Microsoft as many iterations failed due to costs, technology, or simply a difference of ideas.
Finally, they settled on a streaming series rather than a movie. And the first look trailer of Halo The Series did not disappoint the fans of the video game at The Game Awards this year.
Here is the brief synopsis:
Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo The Series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.
The series stars Pablo Schreiber (Master Chief, John-117), Natasha McElhone (Dr. Halsey), Jen Taylor (Cortana), Bokeem Woodbine (Soren-066), and more.

The timing is perfect with Halo Infinite released this week as the eighth main entry of the Halo series. With the video game and timing of the live-action series, Xbox Game Studios hope this will boost its long-time flagship video game series.
The 10 episode series was nearly in jeopardy from its production during the COVID-19 pandemic that led to the shakeup of directors, including M.J. Bassett.
In the end, the trailer looks satisfying as a tease. A few things remain for fans’ anticipation, including hopefully the first look of the Halo itself and any alien enemy combatants. For now, we’ll be satisfied with the first look of Master Chief.
Halo The Series streams on Paramount+ in 2022. Can’t wait.
