As amazing as Star Wars has been to us in many of our lives, the sad reality is that the cast is growing ever-older. Over time, we’ve lost more and more of the cast, with Peter Mayhew being the latest one to pass away. But, of course, while their mortal coils may be shed, they will forever live on in the hearts of fans all around the world. To many of us fans, Mayhew will live in on spirit as Han Solo’s best friend, Chewbacca.

With the new Star Wars theme park, Galaxy’s Edge opening up in Los Angeles, there was an opening ceremony for the Millennium Falcon attraction. In attendance were George Lucas, Bob Iger, Billy Dee Williams, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford. As the Falcon begins to start up, we hear the familiar failed revving of the engine, which Harrison Ford takes as his cue to work his magic. Before going to bang on the Falcon, he turns to the crowd and says “Peter, this one’s for you.”

Sadly, the moment is made a bit awkward when the tech person prematurely “turns on” the Falcon before the line is finished and before Ford could even bang on it, but at least the spirit was there.
