HBO Max Gets A Release Date And Set Of Trailers For New Series

With the current state that we find ourselves in right now, one of the primary sources of entertainment are streaming services. WarnerMedia had already been promoting their HBO Max streaming service for some time this year. This morning we finally have details about its release date as well as trailers for some of its original programming.

HBO Max will officially launch May 27th and will cost $14.99. But it will allow you to stream all of HBO along with Max originals. It will also feature some fan-favorite shows like Rick and Morty, Friends, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Doctor Who to name a few. For the kiddos it also includes classic favorites like Looney Tunes, Sesame Street and My Neighbor Totoro.

Along with the release date, WarnerMedia also released trailers for some of their new programmings that they are going to feature. You can check out some of the trailers below!

Love Life

First up there is Love Life. This is an anthology romantic comedy that will follow one main character’s romantic relationships from first love to last love each season. It will show us the journey of how our past relationships make us shape us into a better version of ourselves in the end. The first season will star Anna Kendrick along with Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compere and Lesley Manville. This comes from creator and co-showrunner Sam Boyd and is produced by Lionsgate Television and Feigco Entertainment.

This is a reality competition that is based on the underground ballroom scene. In this series, voguing teams or houses will compete showcasing sickening fashion to achieve their “legendary” status. The cast includes MC Dashaun Wesley and DJ MikeQ as well as celebrity judges Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion.

On The Record

This is the streaming service’s first major original film. This documentary that had premiered at Sundance tells the story of music executive Drew Dixon. She is one of the first women of color to come forward and publicly name hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons of sexual assault. This documentary also includes the story of other accusers like Sil Lai Abrams and Sheri Sher.

The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

This is a fun brand new talk show with everyone’s favorite three and a half-year-old red monster from Sesame Street. He will be joined by his sidekick Cookie Monster and a couple of other friends. Here the whole family can enjoy Elmo interviewing celebrities along with musical guests. They will talk about the latest in pop culture and play games. Some of the guests include Jimmy Fallon, the Jonas Brothers, Lil Nas X and Blake Lively.

Looney Tunes Cartoons

It looks like the classic animated bunch are back. New cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and many more. I am a big fan of the Looney Tunes but there is something about that animation that just doesn’t sit right with me.

This I can guarantee is going to be a favorite of my daughter and niece. This is the ultimate kid’s competition that is hosted by YouTube star LaurDIY. Here crafters are going face many challenges as they make the most amazing creations that can be imagined.

It looks like HBO Max is going to launch with an impressive catalog of shows and films along with its original content. For me I think it would be worth it just to be able to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and maybe try to get into Doctor Who. If you are already an HBO NOW subscriber, you don’t need to do much. WarnerMedia is giving HBO Max access to its subscribers at launch for no extra cost.
