HBO President On Possibility Of Sopranos Reboot

One of HBO‘s first critically-acclaimed series, The Sopranos, currently has a prequel film in production. The film, The Many Saints of Newark, will be set years before the series and will see Micael Gandolfini as Tony Soprano, a role made famous by his father, James Gandolfini.

In this age of reboots and revival, HBO President of Programming Casey Bloys was asked while speaking with Deadline if there were any current plans to reboot the iconic Sopranos series. You can check out what Bloys had to say below.

“I keep saying ‘never say never’. There are no plans, there is no discussions about it, but (Michael) is a really good actor, we had him on The Deuce. There is nothing on the table at the moment but I will stay open.”

I loved The Sopranos, it was one of the shows that taught me how to binge, and yes I am proably one of the few who didn’t have a huge problem with the way the show ended. I would gladly watch a reboot of the series, what I would like to see is the same characters, different story, different universe.

How would you feel about a Sopranos reboot? Let us know in the comments down below!
