Some individuals have a very difficult time when an actor who plays the role of one of our beloved superheroes jumps ship. However, there have been many who have done so. And they have done it well. The world did not stop. Henry Cavill is a damn good Superman. Sure there are times when the writing may not match our exact portrayal, however I really enjoy having him as the Man of Steel. There have been question marks surrounding his possible return to the role. Also, the MCU‘s Captain Britain rumors also follow Cavill. Does he have the time? Would he do it?

Henry Cavill is a man in demand. There are the rumors of him being the next 007, as well as being in Enola Holmes 2, and The Witcher series. That’s just to name a few. Business is booming for Cavill. While he suggests he would love to return as The Man of Steel, the idea still seems up in the air (see what I did there?). While expressing his feelings regarding a return as Superman, THR asked if there would ever be a Marvel character he would like to portray. He clears the air expressing that he would never mention a character already in the films,

“… because everyone’s doing such an amazing job. However, I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.”

Cavill playing Captain Britain is a cool idea! I mean, the man is already British, but it is also a character we have yet to see on film. For anyone unfamiliar with the character, Captain Britain is originally created for the British comic book market. However, the character made his way over here as well after being transferred to the Marvel UK Spider-Man comic. Once the character was under the Marvel label, he makes his way across the pond. The character has superhuman abilities (many similar to Superman). He originally obtains these powers from Merlyn the magician.
