There’s been a lot of talk in the last 24 hours of a Henry Cavill Rumored SDCC appearance. Specifically that Cavill will be there to promote something coming with the Superman character he plays for DC, not to promote one of his other shows.
Unlike the usual rumors we post, I have not marked this one Barside Buzz because it came from Deadline. If Deadline are hearing rumors of a Cavill appearance, then who knows? However, Collider‘s Steve Weintraub has cast some shade on the rumor as you will see below. The Collider EIC says as far as he’s heard Cavill is filming in London this weekend and therefore cannot possibly be in San Diego also?
hearing #HenryCavill is filming #TheWitcher Season 3 in the United Kingdom on Friday so if he is part of the WB panel Saturday morning to talk #Superman it's going to be virtual.

The as final intrigue to this mystery there are fans have gone online to social media to say they’ve seen Cavill in LA this week already. One woman claimed to have met Cavill in a coffee shop of some description on the 14th July. Now, this may be absolute rubbish, but it’s led to a lot of intrigue among the fan base. Especially since so many DCEU fans are worried Cavill won’t return and want him to.

I guess we will find out whether Deadline‘s rumors, or Collider‘s murmurs will win out this time? It’s like Batman V Superman, only not rubbish. I do hope WB/D sees sense and gives Cavill another deal. Time is running out, eventually Cavill will be too old for Kal-El and right now he still looks perfect for the role. Cavill just needs a better script under him and its whether DC can find that decent story that’s the question?
