Now, this is some deep thought as far as an actor getting into a character’s head. Henry Cavill, who has famously portrayed the DC hero Superman for the last several years, recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about why, if Clark Kent was a football fan, his favorite team would be the Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s not often you hear of an actor going this deep into a character they portray. You can check out the reasoning behind what he said below, or watch the video above which I’ve cued up for you folks.
“I figure Superman is from Kansas, the Chiefs, people in Kansas support the Chiefs, it just all added up.

I think his reasoning makes sense, with Kansas not having their own in-state NFL team, the Chiefs are the closest organization, and it makes sense a young Clark Kent would support them. Being an all-American boy, Clark Kent would surely have a favorite NFL team, right?
Here’s a deleted scene from Batman v. Superman, that features Jimmy Kimmel. Enjoy!
