The highly anticipated 9th annual Her Universe Fashion Show is set to make a dazzling return to San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC) on Thursday, July 20. Hosted by Ashley Eckstein, known for her role as the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars, and joined by co-host Michael James Scott, acclaimed as The Genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway, the event promises an unforgettable celebration of 100 Years of Disney.
The grand affair will take place at 6 p.m. PT in the prestigious Harbor Ballroom of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. As the audience eagerly awaits a night filled with surprises, the talented Ashley Eckstein will grace the runway in a one-of-a-kind couture design that seamlessly blends technology and storytelling in an unexpected manner. Adding to the excitement, actor and recording artist Michael James Scott will captivate the audience with mesmerizing performances.

Presented by Her Universe and Hot Topic, in celebration of 100 Years of Disney, the night promises to be a fusion of inclusivity and creativity. Talented designers from across the country will come together for an original geek couture fashion competition, vying for the ultimate prize of designing a special fashion collection with Her Universe. The winners will be selected by a combination of audience votes and an esteemed panel of judges, including previous Her Universe Fashion Show winners Cindy Guillermo and Michael Burson, SVP Hot Topic Merchandising Robin Motts, and the voice of Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Disney Artist, Bret Iwan.
Adding to the enchantment, Hot Topic, in collaboration with Disney, has transformed The Her Universe Fashion Show lobby into a whimsical fan experience commemorating the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Attendees will have the opportunity to traverse a winding path through the Cemetery, capture memorable photos, spin Oogie Boogie’s wheel, and partake in other delightful activities.
Check-in for the event begins at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel Harbor Ballroom, with doors opening at 4:15 p.m. and the show commencing promptly at 6 p.m. The Her Universe Fashion Show is free for San Diego Comic-Con attendees, and all ages are welcome to attend this extraordinary celebration of fashion, fandom, and Disney’s enduring legacy.
