What will Darcy do in WandaVision?

During the Emmys this past weekend, audiences got their first glimpse of the now first Marvel Studios series WandaVision. It likes like a unique, bonkers good time. Though, as interesting as the whole thing looked, it was missing one key component. Yes, it had Wanda, it had Vision, it had Monica Rambeau, it (probably) had Agatha Harkness, but there was one thing the trailer didn’t have. It had exactly zero percent Darcy.

Now, some of you may be thinking, “what the hell is a Darcy?” You’d be forgiven for forgetting her character, as we haven’t seen her since Thor: The Dark World. Like many other aspects of the Thor franchise, she was cast seemingly cast aside as a vestige of what the MCU used to be. However, as was revealed some time again, she would be reappearing in WandaVision.

But what will her role be? Charles Murphy may have the scoop.

Okay, so according to Murphy, Wanda and Vision will be living in their little ethereal bubble as part of the A plot. The B plot consists of someone collecting parts of Vision in the real world in an attempt to put him back together. When he is assembled, however, he finds that some key memories are missing. Enter Darcy, who apparently will help him fill in those blanks, including the circumstances of his death.

It’s an interesting role to fill and not one I would have expected, but I guess her work with Jane Foster could have prepared her for the weird. I’m sure this will bring plenty of opportunities for laughs and awkward exposition, which Darcy will be perfect for.
