Hi-C Ecto Cooler Returns! A Ghostbusters: Afterlife Promotional Item

I think I can guess what you’re thinking. “Oh my God! Hi-C Ecto Cooler is back!? No way!” But don’t get too excited. This drink comes back to life as a very limited promotional item for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the Ecto Cooler will not be hitting shelves. Bummer.

The Re-return Of Hi-C Ecto Cooler

I wonder why they didn’t want Hi-C Ecto Cooler to be sold in stores. It will be at select events for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and will be giving them out. So at least if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one, it will be free. It is sad that the Ecto Cooler will be so extremely rare.

This isn’t the first time Coca-Cola brought back this beloved green drink. Hi-C Ecto Cooler returned for Ghostbusters 2016, but Sony Pictures and Coca-Cola were unable to feature Slimer on the packaging. As a result, they designed the packaging. Sony Pictures and Firefly advertised the upcoming movie in New York and LA recently and someone shared on Instagram a rotating advertisement that showed what looked like the original box of Ecto Cooler. There are recipes of Ecto Cooler you can find on YouTube. I’ve made my own pumpkin juice from the Harry Potter franchise and it turned out pretty decent. The recipe wanted me to add apricot nectar so I left that ingredient out. What the hell else am I going to use that stuff for? Freaking weird! Although, it might be worth adding and I should put my laziness aside. Ghostbusters News has their own video to make Hi-C Ecto Cooler that they made earlier this year. So if you can’t get your hands on the Ecto Cooler, you can make it yourself.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released in theaters on November 19 and I hope you can get your hands on some Ecto Cooler.
