How Sophie Turner Wanted Game Of Thrones To End

It’s hard not to be involved in a project without becoming a fan on some level. Once you become invested, you start to want things from a show. You want a certain character to be happy or a certain character to die, and no show was as good at getting fans passionate as the recently-ended Game of Thrones. In fact, as it turns out, at least one actor had her own dream ending.

Speaking with TheWrap, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark across the entire run of the show, gave a key plot point she wishes she could have seen in the show:

“I thought Arya would kill Cersei. And I would like to have seen Sansa and Cersei reunited, or Arya and Cersei. But there were so many ways the story could have turned out. I felt very passionately about the ending for Sansa, and I was very happy with the ending that turned out for her.”

Of course, in terms of the ending for all key characters, one controversial choice was the Bran became the true king of the seven kingdoms. But did Turner think that was the right move?

“I think it’s true what Tyrion was saying: Bran holds all of our stories, and we can’t move on unless we remember our history. Daenerys had to die. Cersei was a mad queen. Arya is too much of a free spirit. Sansa probably wouldn’t want to rule the seven kingdoms anyway — she wanted to stay in the North and defend the North. I really think Bran might be the perfect person for the job.”

Well, I can’t really argue with her on that. At the end of the day, if nothing else, it goes to Bran by default. What do you think of Turner’s comments? Let us know your thoughts down below!
