Huge Surprise Cameo From The Flash Revealed Early – Find Out Who [SPOILERS]

A huge surprise cameo that appears within The Flash has been revealed early by director Andy Muschietti. As you’d guess, this article could be considered SPOILERS for The Flash which releases on June 16^th. No more warnings from here on out folks, The Flash spoilers below.

The Flash director Andy Muschietti has confirmed that Nicholas Cage will cameo as an alt version of Superman in the movie. Check out the quotes below from Esquire Middle East.

The most exciting rumor swirling around The Flash has officially been confirmed to us by director Andy Muschietti. Yep, Nicolas Cage will finally debut in the DC Universe as Superman, 25 years after his film ‘Superman Lives’ was cancelled.

“Nic was absolutely wonderful. Although the role was a cameo, he dove into it,” Muschietti tells William Mullally of Esquire Middle East.

“I dreamt all my life to work with him. I hope I can work with him again soon,” Muschetti continues.

“He is a massive Superman fan. A comic book fanatic,” Muschetti continues.

Now, I’m sure the majority of LRM readers are aware that Nic Cage was once cast to play Superman, back in his younger days. The movie Superman Lives starring Nic Cage as Clark Kent/Superman was all set to go back in 1999. There are even pictures online of Cage donning the suit for tests. Check that out below.

Now, of course Cage is a lot older these days and won’t exactly look like that. Will he have the long hair in The Flash, who knows? Superman Lives didn’t get made in the end, the studio at the tie got cold feet as Tim Burton was on board to direct and had just lost the company a lot of money with Mars Attacks. The plot is out there online if you ever want to judge whether it would have made a good Superman movie or not. I’m not sure it would have and I was never a fan of the Cage casting choice to begin with. That being said, I am totally up for seeing this as a cameo within The Flash.
