Hulu's Animayhem

Despite the looming actor’s strike and studio pullout at San Diego Comic-Con International, studios and streaming services promoted other content offers.

Hulu launched “Hulu Animayhem,” a sub-brand focusing on its popular adult animation and anime library.

The campaign starts with a teaser trailer highlighting many of the Hulu animation programs at the end of this article and a creative key art depicted at the top. Also, the campaign includes a social media push that features a TikTok bracket challenge, AR filters, and more.

The animated programs on Hulu include Hulu Original Futurama (season 11 premiers 7/24), Hulu Original Solar Opposites (season 4 premieres 8/14), Viz Media’s Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (season 1, part 2 premieres 7/8), Freeform’s Praise Petey (series premiers 7/21, next day on Hulu), Viz Media’s Naruto Shippuden (season 8 premieres 8/1), FX’s Archer (final season premieres 8/30, next day on Hulu, and Hulu Original Undead Unlock (October 2023).
