Not only is Ian McKellen rumored for Secret Wars, but we also have more Secret Wars rumors to discuss today. The information comes from insider MTTSH, who still has a better than average hit rate. The newest information is that Ian McKellen will reprise his role as Magneto in Avengers: Secret Wars. Check that out below.

Honestly, I would not be that surprised. Remember there are rumors that he may first show up in Deadpool 3 also.

I could see all of this being legit. However, at the same time, far as I know, Secret Wars doesn’t have a finished script yet. Without a finished script and deals negotiated, it’s just a pitch and a desire to get the likes of McKellen back. I really doubt he signed up for it without a script before the strikes for example.

Deadpool 3 is a different story, if McKellen is in, then he was signed up before the strikes. As for Secret Wars, a film now rumored to not hit theatres till 2028, just wait and see. For me anything can still happen with this movie. I would not pay too much attention to any Secret Wars rumors for now. I’m not saying they’re fake, just that a lot can change between now and production.
