No one understands a child’s imaginary friend because no one can see them. For one child, she sees the world from a different perspective after seeing everyone’s imaginary friend.
In director/writer John Krasinski’s imagination, IF (imaginary friend) opens a new world with creative friendly creatures long forgotten by children as they become adults.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Buried), Krasinski (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Office), Cailey Fleming (Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens, Peppermint), Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Avengers), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Solo: A Star Wars Story), Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman, Enemy Mine), Alan Kim (Minari, Theater Camp), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear, In Treatment), and Steve Carell (The Office, The 40-Year-old Virgin).
Here is the official synopsis:
