IFC’s Sherman’s Showcase Exclusive Clip with Crew Marooned on an Asteroid

Sherman’s Showcase is back for a second season on IFC with more hilarious skits in this variety of Black comedy show.

The comedy series, conceived by Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle, was inspired by the variety of shows Soul Train, American Bandstand, The Midnight Special, and In Living Color.

Bashir Salahuddin plays a character named Sherman McDaniels, who hosts a fictional musical variety show called Sherman’s Showcase. McDaniels takes viewers on a ride through 40 years of entertainment, including music, comedy, gameshow segments, political roundtables, and commercial parodies.

Also, the series feature many cameos in various roles.

LRM Online received an exclusive clip of a sketch that features the cast stranded on the asteroid. The funny skit has the crew reenact those lovable 1970s and 1980s space operas that put the crew in dire situations with the conflict between themselves and unknown space invaders.

Sherman’s Showcase is now playing on IFC and AMC+.
