You never know who is going to show up in The CW’s Arrowverse. With so many series showcasing DC’s wide variety of characters we are constantly treated to seeing well known characters as well as some obscure ones. Then there are some that we were told at one point were forbidden for these series to use like Superman, but now we have seen him often on Supergirl, his latest sighting was on the Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds.

Speaking of Superman, his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor is ready to make his Arrowverse debut on Supergirl, where he will be reuniting with his younger sister Lena Luthor. The CW has released official images from Supergirl‘s 15th episode titled, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? where Jon Cryer guest stars as Lex Luthor. In this episode Lex is granted permission to leave prison due to his failing health. With the watchful eye of the Department of Corrections, he travels to National City to talk to his sister, hoping that she can help him find a cure for his ailment and save his life. It will be interesting to see how, Supergirl reacts to the news of Lex being in town and if maybe this can lead to a team-up someday of Lex and Lena against Superman and Supergirl. Also I look forward to seeing Cryer’s portrayal of Lex as I am not convinced that he was a good choice for the classic DC villain.

JON CRYER GUEST STARS AS ICONIC DC COMICS’ VILLAIN LEX LUTHOR –Secretly furloughed from prison due to failing health, Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) visits his sister, Lena (Katie McGrath), to seek her help finding a cure. Savvy as ever, Lena is suspicious of Lex’s motives but when she’s faced with a life and death situation, she must decide how she truly feels about her brother. Meanwhile, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and J’onn (David Harewood) face off against Manchester Black (guest star David Ajala). James’ sister Kelly (guest star Azie Tesfai) comes to town. Tawnia Mckiernan directed the episode written by Derek Simon & Nicki Holcomb (#415). Original airdate 3/17/2019.
