It has been fourteen years since Disney/Pixar introduced audiences to the Parr family. Fourteen years since Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, Jack-Jack, and Frozone joined the pantheon of animated classics in the Mouse House. The Incredibles paid homage to the classic superhero genre with a dash of James Bond thrown into it, becoming one of Disney/Pixar’s higher rated films. Since its release, fans and moviegoers alike have been anxiously awaiting the return of these characters in a much-anticipated sequel. That time has finally arrived and it seems the Parr family have not lost their magic.
Fandango has announced that The Incredibles 2 now holds the online movie ticket retailer’s best presales record for an animated pic in its 18-year history. The news shouldn’t come as a surprise to the company, as the upcoming sequel was voted Most Anticipated Film of the Year on the Fandango summer movie poll, topping the previous title holder, Finding Dory.
