Indiana Jones 5 just added two more actors to the cast. My God, this film may actually go into production this time. Please dont’ kill Harrison Ford, great movie gods.
Deadline reports that Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renne Wilson are the latest to join the cast of James Mangold’s Indiana Jones film.
Indiana Jones 5‘s cast already includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, and, of course, Harrison Ford. Despite what was said about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker being his last film, John Williams is returning to score the movie. Unfortunately Steven Spielberg is not directing, but Frank Marshall is still producing and Mangold is more than capable to helm the film.
Boyd Holbrook has been everywhere including Narcos, The Predator, and Mangold’s Logan. Wilson is more of a newcomer with credits including The Resident, Billions, and Black Panther.
The plot for Indiana Jones 5 is under wraps, but expects a supernatural MacGuffin, and villains with over-the-top accents that represent an enemy country’s bid for the occult. Just writing that has me super stoked.

I know quality is on a lot of people’s minds, especially since this is the first Indy film since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Also, Harrison Ford is pretty damn old to be an adventurer today. He makes Tom Cruise look twenty.
Thankfully, Mikkelsen alleviated some of my fears recently, calling the script “everything I wished it to be.” Yes, actors lie all the time to defend and sell the movie they are in. But Mikkelsen was able to read the script before he joined Indiana Jones 5. So, that’s saying something. Hopefully.
Though I hope the film is good, I really can’t resist Ford in a Hat, so I’m there opening night. Reviewers be damned.
