Civil War. Infinity War. Secret Wars.
Marvel sure loves wars. And so do the Russo brothers, it would appear, having already directed Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Would you hazard to guess if they would like to see Secret Wars become a film?
The French publication Linternaute caught up with Anthony Russo who expressed interest in seeing Secret Wars materialize as a film:
“If Disney’s takeover of Fox ends, it’s a lot more characters to work with at once, it might be worth doing something like Secret Wars.”

Though nearly all the adapted stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe we’ve seen have had to omit a character or two due to Fox’s ownership of the Fantastic Four and X-Men, and Sony’s ownership of Spider-Man and his rogues gallery, Secret Wars is especially heavy on the Fox characters… and Spider-Man. I’m actually reading Secret Wars for the first time for LRM‘s The Comic Source podcasts, and the FF, X-Men, and their villains including Magneto, Galactus, and Dr. Doom are all essential to the story.
If the deal is approved by the Federal government and Disney and Fox close it, films like Secret Wars would totally be on the table, it seems.
