Is Daredevil saved? Read on!

Well, the crazy Spider-Man 3 news just keeps coming. According to a new report today from insider Charles Murphy, Daredevil is saved, sort of. Since the cancellation of the Netflix show, fans have wondered if Daredevil would return to the MCU? Charlie Cox was always keen, however did not ever appear confident of a return to the role. With so many other cameo appearances, at this point I’m not surprised Daredevil is in Spider-Man 3 as well. Murphy’s Multiverse has a good hit rate and appear very confident a deal was done months ago to have Cox reprise his role of Matt Murdock in the MCU.

Whilst Murphy does not say this directly, he also appears pretty confident that there could be room for a Daredevil revival on Disney+. I certainly prefer my Daredevil R-rated, however with recent rumors of an adult Disney+ offering, who knows? Will Moon Knight be PG-13? Maybe it will, and we will love it, but we have already experienced three excellent R-rated Daredevil seasons. A change to PG-13 may feel more jarring for fans of Daredevil? Though, Daredevil fans seems pretty keen to save the show, so perhaps they accept some compromise.

One thing I don’t think Daredevil fans would appreciate is a small cameo in Spider-Man 3 and then never seen again. It would feel like, ‘yeah there was this Netflix Multiverse, and this is it closed off for good now’. Whilst I had very little time for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, or Iron Fist, I did love Daredevil. Any opportunity to have Vincent D’Onofrio reprise his role as Wilson Fisk would have me excited. The thing is, I would love seeing Charlie Cox show up in Spider-Man 3, it’s all the other cameos I’m less than sure about.
