Is Luke Skywalker Taller In Some Scenes Of A New Hope?

Star Wars franchise is no stranger to theories, even those of a conspiratorial nature. And that’s the road we will head down today with a theory centering on Luke Skywalker.

Welcome to another installment Cinematic Conspiracies. Today we’ll explore the theory known as ‘Bigger Luke. This theory purports that Luke Skywalker is taller in some scenes of A New Hope than he is in others. Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill,  gave his thoughts on the matter when he addressed it in a recent tweet. You can check it out below.

Mr. Hamill, you are as skilled at social media as Luke Skywalker is with a lightsaber. A great post from Hamill once again, and a perfect retort to the theory. During my, hmm, hundreds of viewing of A New Hope, this is something I’ve never noticed.

One aspect of the film this theory could change if true is that Luke may not have been a little short for a Stormtrooper after all.  That revelation would send shockwaves through the Star Wars world the likes of which we’ve never seen. I know, I’m hilarious, right?

As for the theory itself, I find it mildly interesting. I’m actually surprised the theory has its own wiki. Perhaps after I finish this article I will read the wiki page in-depth and see if my interest increases.
