Not all shortcuts are a good idea. In fact, some shortcuts are downright terrifying.

In horror film Shortcut, it follows a group of five classmates trapped inside their school bus after a mysterious creature invades the road. Every passing minute decreases their survival chances against threats of that unknown entity.

The movie stars Jack Kane (The A List), Zak Sutcliffe (Peter and Wendy), Andrei Claude (Game of Thrones), Sophie Jane Oliver, and Terence Anderson (Captain Phillips). Alessio Liguori (In the Trap, Report 51) directed the film from a script written by Daniele Cosci (The Binding).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with the young thespian Jack Kane. We talked about the film equating to The Goonies crossing with Stranger Things. Additionally, we discussed the excitement of being on the bus, the labyrinth, and the entity hunting them down.

Jack Kane starred as Lukas in the Universal’s Dragonheart: Vengeance opposite Helena Bonham Carter. He is a season regular in the Netflix’s television series The A List as Zac. Also, he played Clyde in the BBC’s hit series Years and Years.

Shortcut releases in select theaters and drive-in screens in America starting tomorrow on September 25.
