James Gunn Confirms DC TV Series After Guardians 3

James Gunn statement, this time following online abuse aimed at Gunn and co-head of DCU Peter Saffran. Plus Gunn debunks another rumor

Where will James Gunn go after he makes Guardians 3 and the Holiday Special? Now we know the answer as James Gunn confirms DC TV series after Guardians 3 in a recent interview with Collider. To be fair, from the outside it always looked likely that after Guardians 3, Gunn would go back to the DCEU. What we did not know was whether that would be for a movie, or another TV series like Peacemaker? Gunn has now confirmed it will be another TV show.

Previously Gunn has expressed interest in more spin-off shows from The Suicide Squad like Peacemaker, but of course for now, he’s not sharing details.

‘When asked if he was involved with another project for DC, Gunn tried to retain the mystery about his future productions. In Gunn’s words: “You know, we’re stepping forward. It keeps happening. We’ll see what’s happening, and I’ll know what’s happening very shortly. I dealt with it last night and this morning.” However, once asked directly if this secret project would be for TV or film, Gunn gave a direct reply: “It’s TV. There you go.”’

I really enjoyed The Suicide Squad and I am looking forward to seeing Peacemaker when it eventually hits my shores. I’d be happy to see a TV series about many of the surviving, or even non-surviving players in that story. What about a King Shark and Ratcatcher II show? I’d watch the heck out of that?

However until we know more about these plans, (which we won’t for a while) it’s all open for speculation. So get to speculating. What are your hopes for next James Gunn led TV series? Or just leave any thoughts about the news as James Gunn confirms DC TV series after Guardians 3.
