In a recent social media post DC co-boss James Gunn debunks recent The Batman 2 villain and Dick Grayson rumors. The initial rumors came from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service and lately RPK has had a lot of hits for Marvel scoops. However guess his sources or ‘these’ source for DCU are a bit less reliable. Across a series of posts RPK claimed that The Batman 2 would feature not only Dick Grayson, but various villains including Hush, Scarecrow, Professor Pyg and Clayface.
That’s a lot for a sequel to what was a pretty grounded movie. The Batman had one main villain in The Riddler and Penguin as more of a supporting character. However, this story has now been debunked by Gunn on this Threads profile. I will point out that though Gunn says this is completely made up, that doesn’t rule out one or more of these characters. I doubt Gunn would get that specific. However, Gunn has of course heard the pitch for The Batman 2, and therefore would know if this many villains were proposed. Last we heard Gunn says he is still awaiting a first draft script for the movie.
“Nope. Totally made up.” said Gunn.

Recently we had some big news about Matt Reeves who is writing and directing The Batman 2. Reeves is also producing his Arkham TV series for the DCU, not his own The Batman Universe. However, we will still be getting The Penguin series on Max. Plus, The Batman 2 of course, (once a script is finalized).
In the meantime we also have the Reeves produced Arkham series alongside the Andy Muschietti directed Batman: The Brave and the Bold movie all set within the new DCU.
Previously there have been some rumors around The Batman 2 that Clayface may appear. Can we call those debunked by this post from Gunn also? I am less sure, but without any clarification from Gunn, which is unlikely, we cannot know.
