Check out the latest Barside Buzz that says The Beyonder will be the main big bad and allow for a Kang recast, plus we have Spider-Man 4 not to film till 2025 and Fantastic Four in May 24′. Let’s start with the filming dates and a follow up to a rumor we shared earlier today. Daniel RPK claims on his Patreon that he heard Avengers 5 will start filming by late 2024. However, RPK also posted that he’s heard Spider-Man 4, (originally rumored to film in 2024) won’t actually start until 2025. Additionally RPK refuted some speculation that we’d get a Fantastic Four cast announcement soon because it was to start filming in January. RPK says the movie is not actually going to start shooting till around May and there will be no cast announcement soon. So no Fantastic Four production till May 24′.
RPK has had a good hit rate for Marvel recently, and always has a great hit rate for Spider-Man specifically. I mean the guy likely has sources at Sony at this point. The studio has even messed with him on trailer release times in the past. However, when it comes to filming dates always treat any rumor with a pinch of salt. Delays happen and schedules change all the time.
It’s also worth pointing this out folks. This does not mean we will definitely have Spider-Man 4 released after Avengers 5, just because Avengers starts filming first. The Avengers movies are far more complex to plan due to the amount of big actor scheduling conflicts. Whereas, so far Spider-Man movies in the MCU have been filmed relatively quickly. Given we have heard both films will be led by Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, it would make sense to bookend Spider-Man 4‘s shoot with Avengers 5.

Next up we have several insiders saying that The Beyonder will still be the big bad of Avengers: Secret Wars and that he will still be a Kang variant. This will be the next time we see Kang and thus his recast will make sense as he is in a ‘new form’.

I’m not against this at all. The Beyonder as being a version of Kang that has gotten even more powerful and wiped out the rest of them where the Avengers failed. However, if he does not appear until the collapse of the 616 Universe, who is the villain of Avengers 5? You can see how it would work. The Avengers defeat Kang or stall him, only for the Beyonder to show up, stop Kang and them and lead us into Secret Wars. However without the Kang component it’s harder to work that out.
Doom I hear many of you readers crying. However, so far almost no insider outside of Jeff Sneider is claiming Doom will replace Kang. At least, not as a villain of Avengers 5. I guess we will find out in time.
