James Gunn Writing Unannounced DC TV Show

James Gunn pulling back from debunking DCU rumors online. Superman: Legacy storyboarding is now underway and he doesn't have time.

James Gunn is writing an unannounced DC TV show the director/executive revealed in his latest social media post. Gunn let fans in on a little glimpse of his day, and he was a bit busy. Gunn was editing Guardians 3, making decisions for the DCU, approving VFX shots and more. However he was also writing a fair chunk of a new TV series. Check it out.

One would assume this was not Peacemaker Season 2. That may now never happen, but it was announced long before Gunn got his promotion. We are still waiting for the first glimpse at the new DCU. Though we do expect to get that sometime in January. One therefore wonders if this TV series will be one of the projects that gets announced, or not?

Either way, Gunn is a busy a man, and despite his post he seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself for the moment. Death threats from all 5 SnyderVerse fans aside fans seem pretty excited to see what comes next in the DCU. Just what have Gunn and Peter Saffran got cooked up? I guess we will know sooner rather than later, a little at least.

2024 is pretty mapped out for DC. We know we are getting Shazam: Fury of the Gods, The Flash, plus Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Blue Beetle are coming.  However, given all the rumors and the confirmation Gunn is writing a Superman movie that will not star Henry Cavill, we are expecting an almost full reboot of the DCEU into a cohesive DCU. We just donlt know exactly what that will look like yet.

I loved Peacemaker, brilliant TV series. So I’m instantly interested in any TV series written by James Gunn, especially if set in the new DCU. Feel free to speculate upon what this could be in the usual spot below as Gunn reveals he’s writing an unannounced DC TV show.
