In 1978, young Kyle Richards was casted to play Lindsey Wallace, the little girl who was originally being babysat by Nancy Loomis’ Annie Bracket in the original Halloween. As fans of the film know, Lindsay would eventually be pawned off onto Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), who protected she and Tommy Doyle from the terrifying grasp of Michael Myers. Now, forty years later, the two women who portrayed Strode and Wallace are reunited for the big premiere.
On Thursday, Curtis and Richards met up on the red carpet for the big Hollywood premiere of David Gordon Green’s Halloween. The two posed together for photos while Myers himself was stalking in the distance. Richards posted the moment on her Instagram:
“Such a great night celebrating the @halloweenmovie premiere,” Richards wrote in her post. “Cannot believe it has been 40 years since we made the original Halloween.”

During a special segment on Entertainment Weekly with Curtis, Richards had this to say regarding their time together on the John Carpenter classic:
“Do you think a movie like Halloween ruined the babysitting business? Making the movie I was never scared, [but] seeing myself in it was terrifying!… I always have that memory of me, on the last day of shooting, of you carrying me all the way back to my dressing room. I’ve never forgotten that.”
Halloween opens in theaters nationwide TODAY.
