Jay And Silent Bob Reboot Wraps Production, New Behind The Scenes Video Sees Familiar Faces

Ladies and gents, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is officially in the can! It’s only been a few weeks since Kevin Smith announced that production had begun on the sequel to the 2001 View Askewniverse film, and in that time, we’ve been getting a ton of production diary videos from him chronicling its making. But now, the actual shooting of the movie has officially wrapped, meaning that post-production can officially begin.

“IT IS ACCOMPLISHED!” Smith posted via Twitter this morning. “Last night, after a 21 day shoot (the same number of days in which we shot CLERKS some 26 years ago), we wrapped my Askewniverse magnum opus #JayAndSilentBobReboot! Thank you to my #NewOrleans crew, my cast and especially @JayMewes for his stellar performance!” You can check out the Tweet below, which shows off the outside of “Heavy Metal Scrapyard.”

So, what does this mean? Well, it means that soon enough the production diary videos will begin to chronicle the post-production process, and perhaps even before long, we’ll get a little taste of the movie itself. Smith has always been open with sharing parts of his movie prior to its release…so maybe we’ll even get to see a scene.

Though, there is one big downside. With the movie in the can, it means that a Ben Affleck appearance is incredibly unlikely, as when we last heard, Smith and him had not made contact with one another. It’s a shame, given how much the two worked together early on in their careers, but it is what it is. Maybe in another decade.

But that wasn’t all. The latest production diary also introduced familiar faces to the film. Check that out below!
