The Angry Birds are back. A few years after the first film managed to do okay at the box office, Sony Pictures Entertainment is now set to release its sequel this coming summer. Not too long ago, they shared a teaser trailer with us, and today, they released not only a domestic trailer, but a substantially different trailer internationally. So if you wanted a really in-depth look at the movie, then here you have it!

But is it any good? I’ll admit, I didn’t see the last movie, and while this one looks like it could be pretty harmless fun, I can’t say I’m itching to see it. In this story, the birds and pigs find themselves in a situation where working together is to their benefit. What follows is a fun-looking clashing of ideals and egos that’s sure to bring laughs to kids. But will it be enough for adults? And are the Angry Birds a big enough I.P. anymore to justify another film? We’ll have to wait and see.

“The flightless angry birds and the scheming green piggies take their beef to the next level in The Angry Birds Movie 2! When a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride), and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck’s sister Silver (Rachel Bloom) and team up with pigs Leonard (Bill Hader), his assistant Courtney (Awkwafina), and techpig Garry (Sterling K. Brown) to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.”
